OUR FIRST BIRTHDAY

27 January 2023

Having launched on January 27th, 2022, we felt it right to take some time to reflect on the past year here at Join the Dots:

Self-reflection entails asking yourself questions about your values, assessing your strengths and failures, thinking about your perceptions and interactions with others, and imagining where you want to take your life in the future.

Robert L. Rosen
Here’s what we have achieved at Join the Dots over the past year

A lot can happen in 365 days, and we asked some of the team to share their reflections on the past year. After all, the team are the backbone of the business!

“Following the sale of the customer data specialist business, Edit, to The Salocin Group in November 2021, Edit’s media team relaunched as a stand-alone media agency named Join the Dots.  Becoming Join the Dots allowed us to have our own voice, and concentrate on what we deliver best, bespoke channel-agnostic media planning and delivery that thrills their clients with amazing results.

It’s been an incredibly challenging but gratifying first year in business, becoming a B-Corp, winning numerous awards and new clients, working closely to grow existing relationships with an expanded media offering.  We’ve also had to navigate the continuing challenges that economic landscape including the cost-of-living crisis, the war in Ukraine and interest rates and inflation rising to record levels to name just a few. As a business that is powered by data and driven by people, all the success we’ve achieved wouldn’t have been possible without our talented team of dotters.

Without their talent and dedication just be ‘another’ agency making up the numbers, so I’d like to thank each one of them for making a genuine difference to our clients.”

Ben Briggs – Managing Partner

“Join the Dots is 1! The last 12 months has been an epic journey, and it’s absolutely flown by; with exciting opportunities, growth, discovery and building a strong team of enthusiastic, talented (and of course fun!) people. We have onboarded many brilliant new clients across a broader spectrum of channels and services, understanding their goals and joining them as an addition to their teams to provide the best service we can. The Join the Dots team ethic is astounding, and I can’t wait to see what the next 12 months bring.”

Jodie Hanrahan – Media Account Director

“Our first year as JtD has allowed us to crystallise our proposition and deliver outstanding results for clients whilst having a lot of fun along the way.”

Clare Arndell – Head of Media Planning and Operations

“The 1st year as Join the Dots has been great. We have strengthened our relationships, grew as thought leaders in our industry and started working with even more amazing clients. I can’t wait to see what’s over the horizon as we continue to grow.”

Nathan Rose – Director of Growth

“Join the dots has given me the opportunity to push myself, both as a person and as a professional. It’s been exciting and interesting to learn about a new industry all the while working alongside a great team!”

Callum Hardwick – Media Executive

“This past year has seen real development in our approach to media, upskilling and utilising everyone’s expertise in the team has been nothing but beneficial; with a team this enthusiastic and dedicated, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the business.”

Anastasiya Sirjusingh – Marketing Assistant

“Having seen the developments in Edit after The Salocin Group’s investment, we were optimistic for the launch of Join the Dots just over a year go. Given recent hardships globally and in the UK, The Join the Dots team (the Dotters) have proven their resilience by maintaining and strengthening client relationships whilst also winning a raft of new clients against strong competition, punching above their weight, showing how smaller purpose lead agencies can create media with huge impact through a brave and collaborative approach.

Their mindsets and efforts are a credit to the business and after seeing the persistence and passion the team have, we are excited for many years of Join the Dots to come.”

Nick Dixon – CEO of Edit Agency
