A day in the office with… Jess Coombs, Senior Account Manager

8 August 2023

Jess Coombs

Jess has joined us in August 2023, bringing in over 15 years of experience in the print media industry! Not only is Jess a fountain of wisdom, but her kindness and enthusiasm makes her a fantastic fit to the Join the Dots team.

Tell us a little bit more about your role…

Whilst the majority of my role will be managing and growing all forms of print activity, I’ll support on planning Direct Mail campaigns and growing new and existing clients. A real hybrid role that offers so much freedom to grow and learn along the way.

Morning

Mornings usually start pretty early and I cannot function without a cup of tea first thing. This prepares me for getting my x4 children up and out of the house for school before work begins.

I like to check in with my team, making sure everyone’s ok and ready to have a good day. Nothing beats having some form of sport on the telly in the background (that I have little understanding of- think golf or cricket- who knows why!) whilst I work.

Lunch

The middle of the day is my favourite because, well, food. I love to cook, often from scratch and enjoy lunch in the garden which is my little haven.

Afternoon/Evening

Once my children are home and the work day is finished I love to catch up with them, do homework or play, go on a walk or get them out on their bikes. The aim being to wear them out ready for bedtime haha 😊 After dinner, I’ll head to the gym to do strength and weight training and then come home to spend some valuable time with my husband.
